~ clay, contains some FeO2 nodules
4.0 to 13.0 Weathered Shale/Soil -Light brown, brown, 60% clay, 40% silty with •
inter edded calcite nodules and FeO2 nodules.
13.0 to 14.7 Weathered Shale/Soil - Light brown, brown, very fine grained,
san stone wit some silt and mudstones.
14.7 to 20.5 Shales Sandstones and Cla s -Light brown, gray, weathered shales,
wit interb e~ clay, mud and siltstones, also contains interbedded
FeO2 deposits, abundant in fractures.
fine x-talline to carbonaceous, interbedded with very fine x-tglline,
calcareous sandstone, with calcite veins and calcite cement from 74.0
to 74.9 and at 79.5 to 80.0.
86.1 to I I I.0 Shale - Gray, massive with sea shells, contains more silts and fine
grained sandstone, slightly calcareous with calcite laminations, some
sandstone lenses. ranging from I mm., several found at approximately
92.0'.
