Formal Public Hearing, Pre-hearing Conference, and Informal Conference,
High Mesa Gravel Pit, File No. M-2000-067.
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has received a written objection to
the High Mesa Gravel Pit application. Therefore, DMG has scheduled the matter for
Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board Ithe "Board"1,
for consideration of application. The hearing has been scheduled to occur during the
August 23-24, 2000, Board meeting at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318, Denver,
Colorado, beginning at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered.
A Pre-hearing Conference has been tentatively scheduled for August 17, 2000, at 10:00
a.m. The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to identify the parties for the Formal
Public Hearing and to identify the issues to be considered by the Board at the hearing.
Should aPre-hearing Conference prove necessary, if will occur as a phone conference.
DMG has also scheduled an Informal Conference for August 2, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. At
the Informal Conference, each person objecting to the approval of the application shall set
forth the grounds for the objection. Similarly, the applicant, and any other person
supporting the issuance of the application, shall present the grounds necessary to support
the issuance of the application. The Informal Conference shall occur as a phone
conference.
