Banks and Gesso. LLC <br />Topsoil Replacement <br />Topsoil will be re-distributed across the site on all disturbed surfaces above the <br />anticipated normal water line. A plant growth medium of at least 4 inches will be <br />provided in the reclaimed condition. Final grades will be established by disking or other <br />mechanical preparation to ensure mixing of soil horizons and adequate opportunity for <br />seed contact. <br />Revegetation <br />Seeding will be as suggested by the National Resource Conservation Service. Please <br />see Attachment A for a letter from NRCS regarding recommended methods and rates of <br />seeding as well as time of year for seeding and planting. The applicant commits to <br />implementing these recommendations. <br />The site will be seeded in the fall or at any time of year with straw mulch or its <br />equivalent. The seed mix shall be in accordance with the Natural Resource <br />Conservation Service recommendations for the area, listed below <br />Seeding will be done by a seed drill, with a drill spacing of 6-12 inches, at a planting <br />depth of % to'/z inch. Broadcast seeding shall be an option at twice the seeding rate <br />listed in the table below. Seeded areas may be mulched with straw or hay mulch, if <br />needed. <br />In general, wet conditions and loamy substrate on the site are conducive to plant growth <br />The operator will monitor vegetative establishment to identify areas of the site that may <br />benefit from soil amendment <br />Maintenance <br />The topsoil will be maintained following recommendations of the NRCS. Use of the <br />reclaimed area will be restricted prior to release to facilitate the establishment of <br />vegetation. <br />Mowing in each phase will be performed for at least 2 years following seeding to help <br />establish regenerating stands of grasses and to control weed infestation.
