Box 2140
14eeker CO 81641
Dear Hank:
Prior to Northern Coal's leasing our ground and opening
the Northern No. 1 Pline, the site oras used as a livestock
ranch. We ran cattle and sheep and out up hay on the
irrif~ated meadows. In the fall, hunters were guided.
After reclamation, and the seeding has had time to re-
establish, we will return the ranch to these uses. There
are several improvements that. Northern has made that we
would like to see remain on the property.
1) The haul road is to stay as previously agreed upon.
/ 2) The timber storage area with its drainage system and
elevated gravel pad i,rould be an ideal hay static yard.
• 3) The office complex area has a developed spring and
septic system that will be used as a home site. The
accompanying parking lot and lighting will be used for
camper trailer parking during the hunting seasons.
4} Since there was an existing stock pond at the loca-
tion of the main sediment pond, this should also be left.
C
5) The shop building with the small gravel lot in front
~„V ~ will be used for equipment storage and in our hunting
1,ah operations.
~ 6) The electric poles and lines supplying the shop and
office area should be left in place so that we may have
poiaer to both of these facilities.
It is our understanding that the stream will be rechannelled
into the bottom of the valley similar to the way it was
prior to construction. The diversion ditch will then be
regraded to conform to existing topography.
•
m-ae
7/7/7
