. Trapper Mining Inc.
1995 Deep Development Drill Holes
Program Summary
A. Site Location
Of the seven deep development drill holes proposed for 1995, a minimum of two and possibly four will be
drilled within areas of disturbance associated with active pits. Holes 95-LW9 and 95-LW10 aze to be
located directly north and south of the D pit area, respectively. It is intended to drill these holes within
disturbed areas, though it may be necessary to locate them on undisturbed ground. For this reason, costs are
included for the reclamation of these pad azeas.
Holes 95-LW 11, 95-LW 12 and 95-LW l4 will be drilled in undisturbed or reclaimed areas and a cos[ for
reclaiming them is also calculated.
The remaining two holes, 95-LW 13 and 95-LW IS will be located in active areas and therefore no
reclamation costs ate calculated.
B. Drill Sites Coostructioo and Reclamation
Drill sites will be approximately 100' z 150' in size and will be minimized when possible. Assuming I8" of
topsoil for this area, 833 BCY or approximately 1,000 LCY (20% swell) of topsoil will be moved per drill
site. Typically this will be moved uphill of the drill site for later redistribution.
• Leveling and grading of the drill sites is expected to be minimal. It is estimated that no more subsoil than
topsoil will be moved, and therefore 1,000 LCY is used for estimating purposes.
Drill sites may require the construction of two mud pits per site. Approximate size of each pit would be 12'
wide, 25' long and 6' deep. Assuming a swell of 25% each site may require the moving of 167 LCY yards
to backfill the pits.
All leveling and grading and pit construction will be contained within the stripped area. Because of the
minimal area or the drill site no erosion problems are anticipated through silt fence and/or hay bales may be
used to contain sediment on site should this become a problem.
C. Road Development and Reclamation
As noted, up to five holes may be located in undisturbed areas. These have been located on or adjacent to
disturbed areas or existing light use roads. At a maximum, each site wuld require that development of an
additional 500' of light use road. Allowing for an average width of IS', each site may require
approzitnately 0.17 acres be scarified and seeded.
Though it is not anticipated, [here may be short sections of existing or constructed light use road that would
require minor cuts or fdls. In this case, topsoil would be removed and stored adjacent to the road for
redistribution. An estimate for the reclamation of up to 2,000' of approved light use road would include the
following. The redistribution of 2,666 LCY of topsoil based on a 20-foot corridor width, 18" of topsoil and
a swell of 20%. Regrading would require the moving of 2,083 LCY based on an average width of 15 feet,
average depth of l8" and a swell of 25%.
~J
MWW/jsb 5/95 [DMG\95-MAY05\
