r~
1. A plan view of the limit of draw for each seam is shown on
Exhibits S-5 and S-7.
2. In Chapter C, the Mine Operational Plan states that the coal
seams to be worked will be extracted by various methods of
mining. These are room and pillaz, pillaz extraction and
longwall.
These methods of mining will not always be common in
similaz areas in each seam so it is anticipated the overall
amount of subsidence will be somewhat less than if full seam
extraction was practiced.
As the area to be mined is virgin, no previous experience of
multi-seam mining in the azea is available and mining in
excess of 2000 feet in depth is planned, the estimating of the
amount of subsidence expected in various areas is not an
exact science. The expected subsidence of approximately
11 feet, as stated in Chapter S, page S-3, is anticipated to
occur in the most critical azeas.
3. The extracted thickness for each seam is as follows:
F-7'to 10'
P - up to 12'
J - 12'
G - 9' and 12'.
4. Non-subsidence areas are covered in Chapter S, Section 3.0,
pages S-4 and S-5, and on Exhibits °--G atxl S-7,
•
S-26a
. ~ ,~
