Kvaerner Met <br />Project No. 306900 <br />General Spec+fication No. GC~01 <br />Site Work <br />2.3 Standard Specifications (State of Colorado) <br />2.4 American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials <br />(AASHTO) <br />2.5 Surface Operating Standards for Oil and Gas Exploration and Development <br />by Bureau of Land Management <br />3,0- GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION <br />A geotechnical engineering study report for this protect, prepared by Lambert and <br />Assoc+ates of Montrose, Colorado, shall be considered a part of this specification. <br />4,0 CLEARING, GRUBBING AND STRIPPING <br />Clearing shall consist of cutting trees, stumps and brush to approximately ground level, <br />and disposal of cleared material. <br />Grubbing shall consist of removal of all growth, stumps, trees, roots, and similar organic <br />matter. <br />Stripping shall consist of removal and depositing of atl top soil down to a depth of at least <br />6 in. or to suitable material as determined by the Engineer. <br />Stripped material shall be stockpiled as directed by the Engineer m areas from which it <br />may be reclaimed. <br />Stripped material. meeting the regwrement of Sect+on 5 ~ may be used as general fill <br />material. <br />Removed combustible materials may be stockpiled for w+Id life hab+tat. +n accordance <br />with all applicable laws and regulations. or otherwise disposed of in areas approved by <br />the Engineer. Burning of materials requires advance approval by the Owner and the <br />Engineer. <br />5.0 GRADING <br />5.1 General Excavation <br />Areas to be excavated shall first be cleared. grubbed and stepped. <br />Excavation shall conform to limits shown on the drawings or as stated in this <br />specification.
