Since Fremont County has a Cease and Desist Order against it
because of this pit, no new mining activity can be permitted by the
Board. This includes the amendment to the District Hl Pit.
If you feel that you cannot furnish the rest of the materials for the
District ~2 Pit (as well as answering the adequacy issues for the
District Nl Pit amendment) by November 17 (the Board meeting being
November 19-20), I suggest that you request another con tinllance from
the Board.
I am still in the process of investigating the situation concerning
the mining in the Medium Security Prison area. I will inform you
further concerning this matter as soon as I have resolved it to some
extent. This should not, however, cause problems for Fremont County
in permitting new mining operations.
If I may clarify any of tnese issues, please call me.
Sincerely,
Mark S.
