This is based on a 100 year storage volume of 1.4 acre-feet and a
0.9 acre-feet water quality storage volume.
A 10 yeaz 24 hour storage volume was also calculated and is 0.5 acrc-feet. A work sheet is
included for your review.
You requested that the detention ponds should be designed w handle the 10 and 100 year events
and not include a water quality volume. In this case the total detention pond volume would be
1.9 acre-feet (1.4 acre-feet for the 100 year and 0.5 acre-feet for the 10 yeaz.)
Summit County does not require any additional storage for water quality.
We agree to size the ponds for a total volume of 1.9 acre-feet. We trust the ponds meet DMG's
requirements and we will be receiving the Office's recommendation.
enc:
cc: Denny Fields
96-133
Summit County Clerk, certified mail
11990 Grant Street, Suite 555 ~ Denver, Colorado $0233 ~ (303) 452-6611
