If the pH of the discharge does not meet the effluent
limitations of the NPDES permit, then Peerless Resources, Inc. will
• install and maintain a continuous monitoring and treatment system
immediately downstream of the sediment pond. This system will
incorporate a automatic sampling and treatment system to add a reagent
to the effluent in pre-determined quantities. Because sufficient
information has not been collected to accurately indicate if there is a
pH problem with the effluent from the sediment pond, Peerless Resources,
• Inc. does not plan to install an expensive and sophisticated system
until the problem has been defined.
-8-
