M-2003-037 <br />THIS MATTER came before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board ("Board") on October 30, 2003 in Denver, Colorado, for a hearing to consider the <br />Section 112 Construction Materials Application of Haldorson and Sons, Inc. <br />("Applicant"), File Number M-2003-037, in accordance with C.R.S. Section 34-32.5-114. <br />Thomas Smith appeazed on behalf of the Applicant. Susan McIntosh appeared on behalf <br />of the Objectors. Russell Means appeared on behalf of the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology ("Division"). <br />The Boazd, having considered the parties' presentations and having been <br />otherwise fully informed of the facts in this matter, hereby enters the following findings <br />of fact, conclusions of law and order: <br />The Applicant intends to extract sand and gravel and to process such <br />materials from a 156-acre site located three miles northwest of Montrose, <br />Colorado in Section 24, Township 49 North, Range 10 West, 10`h <br />Principal Meridian in Montrose County, Colorado. <br />2. The current land use is cropland and general agriculture, and the proposed <br />post-mining land use is cropland. The overall reclamation plan calls for <br />the formation of dish-like topography to reestablish the land for <br />agricultural use. Slopes will be graded to 3:1 and revegetated with a <br />rangeland seed mix. <br />
