The culvert design calculations show that a 24" CMP of 60 feet
length will handle approximately 40 cfs, therefore, the design is adequate.
4. Mine Facilities and Operation
The site will consist of a portable crushing and screening plant, portable stacker wnveyors, and
possibly a portable asphalt plant. The portable crush/screen plant will be dry operated by
subcontractor or western Gravel. In either case, the portable plant will maintain its own air emissions
permit and SPCC plan for the equipment. The plant will have its own generators and portable #2
diesel tank of 2000 gallon size. This tank will have its own sewndary containment built under the
steel tank. The crush/screen plant will be brought to the site fora 4-6 week period per yeaz. The
screened material will then be sold throughout the year.
The asphalt plant will also have his own emission permit and SPCC plan. The plant will have its
own portable tank for hot mix as well as #2 diesel for the generator. These tanks are estimated at
3000 gallons each. Both of these tanks will also have secondary containment within the portable
plant.
Bellgardt Pit 1/06
16
