disturbed area are conservative for the sediment pond as designed.
• Therefore, the acreages have not been changed.
,v~-
11. The curve number 72, used for undisturbed acrea a is too low. From
the presented data it is shown that this number was erive using a
cover of 75%. The cover does not a ear that hi h and this curve
Hum er s ou a revise to re ect t e accurate percent cover.
RESPDNSF~
Peerless Resources, Inc. has evaluated the curve number for the
undisturbed acreage and reestimated the amount of cover based on input
from the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division. The ground cover has
been revised to be approximately 55% yielding a curve number of 78 for
the Archuleta-Sanchez soil type. Corresponding estimates of peak flow
for Diversion Ditch No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 have been revised utilizing
this basis. The estimates of peak flow for the sediment pond have not
been calculated. The original design calculations showed approximately
18% more area than that shown on the Surface Facilities Map (Map \?)•
• The resurveying of the area in mid-February, 1985, to provide more
accurate ground data, necessitated the revision of the disturbed areas
as shown.
12.
