• Exhibit Page 43 •
NOTES AND ASSUMPTIONS:
1. The portion of the backfilling associated with stripping has not been included, as the
cost would not be incurred if the stripping was not done.
2. Revegetation is based on using existing soil types for the entire site above the
planned water level of the three ponds, and vegetating appropriately. Revegetation
includes costs of soil amendment and fertilization (if used).
3. Stockpiles will require no backfilling except for those areas dividing the ponds.
4. If mining ceases before the middle or northern pond locations are excavated, these
ponds will not be built.
5. Provided a pond area (or portion of a pond area) has been mined out to a depth of
at least three feet below the planned water level for that pond, the area will be
reclaimed as a pond; otherwise, it will be reclaimed as irrigated pasture land.
6. As there is a surplus of soil, backfilling will be accomplished using the nearest
source of available material, both underwater and above the planned water level.
7. Grading and contouring includes worts to create feeder ditches from Home Ditch to
ponds, as well as daylight swales to allow surface water flow into ponds.
8. All acreages are estimates.
9. These figures represent present (2001) costs using contracted equipment and
personnel.
Four States Aggregates, LLC 30 DEC 2000
,Application for Permit: Line Camp Pit FSA-LCP-D1-001
