EXHIBIT E - RECLAMATION PLAN
St. Jude Mine - Pioneer Uravan, Inc.
~nuary 20, 1978
What little topsoil is available on the disturbed site will be removed,
stockpiled and seeded (to prevent erosion) in those areas shown on the detailed
map. (Exhibit C-2)
All buildings, fuel tanks, equipment, power lines and other man made
improvements will be removed. Portals will be plugged. All rock dumps,
roads, building sites and other disturbances will be recontoured when possible
to conform with the surrounding topography and then covered with the previously
stockpiled topsoil. Depth of topsoil will depend on the amount of topsoil
available.
No surface or subsurface water has been encountered in this area.
Revegetation of all affected areas will follow recommendations set
forth by all county, state and federal agencies which have jurisdiction or
special knowledge of the problem at that future time when mining operations
are completed. The following seeding mixture recommended by the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Board will be used unless new improved strains of seed
are made available:
Species
Pounds per acre
lvestern Wheatgrass 12
Crested lJheatgrass 3
Russian Wild rye 6
Indian Rice grass 2
Yellow Sweetclover 1
Four Winged Saltbush 4
Pioneer Uravan will follow a plan of reclamation suitable for wildlife
habitat, dry range land, and for recreational uses as set forth by the local
authorities at that future time when mining operations are completed.
