Steamboat Nonh Concrete Plant <br />GL 851 <br />SPCC Plan <br />Reportable Quantities: <br />Any spill or overfill of petroleum products to the environment is reportable to the Lafarge <br />Environmental Division if: <br />• Quantities are unknown, and/or <br />• The release is equal to or greater than 25 gallons, unless you can conclusively <br />show the release was less than the reportable quantity, and/or <br />• The release, in any amount, reaches or threatens to reach surface water, <br />groundwater, dry gullies, or storm sewers, and/or <br />• The release is a hazardous substance that exceeds 1 gallon, and/or <br />• The release is less than 25 gallons, but cannot be cleaned-up within 24 hours. <br />In the event of a spill of petroleum products: <br />DO: <br />• Enact Lafarge Crisis Management Plan, if appropriate <br />• Shut off supply, stop leak (ifpossible~ <br />• Shut off ignition sources <br />• Contain spill and/or dike ahead of spill <br />• Call your supervisor and/or Lafarge Environmental Technical Services <br />• Protect adjacent people, property, surface waters, and equipment from contact <br />with spill <br />• Follow MSDS for clean-up guidance <br />DON'T: <br />• Do not smoke <br />• Do not risk personal injury <br />• Do not wash down spill with water <br />• Do not try to hide spill <br />Should a maior release occur, use Lafarge Crisis Management Plan and have the <br />followin¢ information available (See Attachment D): <br />• Your name and phone number: <br />• Date and time: <br />• Site name, phone number, and address: <br />• Description of release: <br />o Material discharged <br />o Estimate quantity discharged <br />o Cause and source of discharge <br />o Affected media <br />o Any damages or injuries <br />• Emergency response actions taken: <br />o Actions to stop, remove, or mitigate discharge <br />o Names of individuals and organizations contacted <br />• Person responsible for spill prevention: <br />2 <br />
