The information being supplied is iR~~ regard
to reclamation and reference area monitoring. It is our 1knd~r-
standing this information is being supplied to avoid unnecessary
stipulations to our mining permit.
1. Range conditions on both reference areas will be mon}}toted
every five years from the time of permit approcal b}~ the IU.S.D.A.
Soil Conservation Service in order to show that these are s are
in at least fair range condition. This evaluation shalA ~'Ie sub-
mitted to the regulatory authooity (RA) by the end of edc~ year
in.which the surve}• is conducted. If either or both of t e ref-
erence areas are determined to be in less than fair range condition
at any of these survey times, Wyoming Fuel Company will d sign in
consultation with the regulatory authority, the use appro~iriate
mitigative measures to attempt to restore these areas to fair range
condition. Wyoming Fuel Company will subjectively review the ref-
erellce areas during the periods between these five year eYaluations.
This interim evaluation will be an effort to, insure reference areas
are maintained in fair condition. In the event the range condition
increases to above fair condition during any of these abo}~e times
frames and particularly during bond release 6•lyoming Fuel Company
will rely solely on baseline data to evaluate revegetatioln success.
It may also be necessary to adjust vegetative success dat on
reference areas as a result of weather conditions during he bond
release period. This is to insure data taken from the re erence
area is comparable to the conditions when premising veget tion data
was collected. An appropriate revegetation success metlto~ology will
be developed in consultation with Wyoming Fuel Company an~3 the RA,
in the event the condition of the reference area(s) incre~ses
beyond fair.
~I~ ~I ~I I . i
iV i~ ~~I .
