The discharges go to Chandler Creek and Oak Creek, which are within Segment 14, Upper Arkansas River Sub-basin,
Arkansas River Basin, found in the Classifications and Numeric Standards for the Arkansas River Basin 3.2.0 (5 CCR
1002-8), as amended October 11, 1995. Segment I4 is classed for the following uses: Recreation, Class 2; Aquatic Life,
Class 2 (cold); Agriculture. The Division reviewed this facility on May 5, 1997, and determined that the antidegradation
presumption was overcome because discharge does not occur during low flow periods.
The activity involves discharge of surface runoff only from post mining areas. No other sources of wastewater will be
discharged.
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Ceo[ogy permit number is C-81-014.
