EXHIBIT C
MINING PLAN ~ ~ ~~ ~ ! ~ rI'~~~y
Ir
FREMONT COUNTY ROAD DISTRICT ~ 1 _1 ~ ~
ee l~/~ ~ , t~-
OAK CREEK GRAVEL PIT ppl,,p"il"^"t~
The :Wining operation will be started as soon as all local and
state permits have been obtained. The end of the project is
unpredictable as the material will be used to maintain the
County Roads in the immediate area and use of the pit will
depend on how much maintenance is needed. It is estimated
that the pit will provide material for a minimum of ten
years.
Removal of topsoil will vary slightly from 8 inches to 12
inches and will be placed in the mining setback area on the
south side of the pit in the configuration of a berm as a
visual barrier.
The material at the site has virtually no overburden and is
expected to all be used. The predicted mining depth is 20
feet.
The mining operation will be conducted by the county road
crews on a need basis with a minimal amount of stockpiling to
be done. The equipment to be used in the operation will
consist of a bulldozer to scrape and pile the material, a
frontend loader to load dump trucks so that material may be
transported to use sites. There may be an occasional need to
screen and stockpile material. On these occasions, stockpiles
will be located as shown on the map or located in previously
mined areas.
The area disturbed by mining will be a triangular tract,
Approximate dimensions for the three sides are as follows;
Southwesterly -- 850 feet, Northwesterly -- 580 feet,
Northeasterly -- 790 feet.
The subject parcel adjoins Fremont County Road R 143 and
access is gained from said road. No major new construction of
roads will be necessary. The reason for the project is to
improve existing county roads.
From all preliminary investigations, there are no indications
that. ground water will be encountered throughout the entire
project. There are two dry gulches near the project site, but
places do not include disturbing either gulch.
