This area Ss used as range for livestock <br />and as xildlife habitat, ':atlve vegetation 1s lox rabbitbrush, blue grams, <br />three-a~;n, and some sand dropseed, <br />Typically t},e surface layer is broxn gravelly sandy loam about $ Snches <br />thick. The upper ~ inches of the subsoil is yelloxish broxn ~avelly sandy <br />clay loam, and the loxer 6 inches is pile hroxn very gravelly sandy loam <br />xith some lime coatings on the undersides of gravel and cobble. The sub- <br />stratum, from 18 to 60 inches or more, ccnsists of sand and gravel. <br />Fermeability Ss moderate, r^ffective rooting depth is 10 to 20 inches. <br />Available xater capacity is lox.
