DIS`fURBCD AREA <br />An estimated 2,000 ft2 of topsoil will have to be removed to construct two drill pads. Topsoil <br />removed will be stored at an existing topsoil pile. Drill pads will be reclaimed in the normal sequence <br />of events as the holes will be mined through. See attached 'fable 2-05.3(3)-12.2 for reclamation <br />calculations should mining cease after drilling but before mine related disturbances reach the drill <br />sites. <br />AQUII~ER IMPACTS <br />Sec. 2.04.7 of the Permit states that the overburden, coal and underburden zones all have their own <br />distinct aquifers. <br />DRILL HOLE ABANDONMENT <br />"fhe holes will be sealed with a pelletized bentonite product to ten feet above thestatic water level. <br />The pel lets wi II be adequately sized to allow complete backfilling ofthe hole below the ten foot above <br />water level line without bridging. The top of the hole will be plugged with concrete from 3 Feet to <br />13 feet below ground level.
