In November 1973, 100.403 acres + <br /> <br />' known as Road Runners Rest was purchased from Denver Aggregates, <br /> Inc. On Diay 20, 1977, the Himes property, including approximately <br /> 96.402 acres was obtained. <br /> Although the acreage known as Road Runners Rest was rezoned <br /> to permit sand and gravel extraction under a Mineral Extraction <br /> (M-C) zoning, no mining was ever started on the property. Another <br /> <br /> piece of the property was zoned Mineral Extraction (M-C) (see map <br /> Exhibit C) at the time when the county initiated that zoning <br /> classification.
