The DEQ criteria for suitability is broken down into
classifications of good, fair, poor, and unsuitable. A summary of the
various parameters is:
• ~; DEQ "good" classification, 6.0 - 8.4; sample values 7.3 -
7.8
• Conductivity; DEQ "good" classification, 0 - 4; sample values,
-'~ 0.59 - 0.71

• SAR; DEQ "good" classification, less than 6; sample values,
0.78 - 1.71
• Texture; DEQ "good" classification, sl, 1, sil, scl, vfsl,
fsl; sample values, 1
Based on this comparison of parameters, the material designated as
topsoil substitute or plant growth medium is deemed to be suitable for
use as topsoil.

MAR 0 4 1986
Z.oH- 26A
