Of the 13 proposed~or presently active gravel pit
operations, it appears through conversation that due to the low key activity
there should be minimal stress or impact on wildlife in the immediate areas.
It should be pointed out, however, that all, operations should follow 404 guidelines.
Those sites which will consist of a crusher operation should not have any return
water flow to the stream. Any of thirteen sites which should develop into anything
more than a small operation, the Division of Kildlife would request additional
input by our agency.
Respectfully yours, ^ -'
Jim Jones
District Wildlife Manager
JJ;mfh
DE7A RTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, Hsrris Sherman, ficecutive Director • WIID~IFE COMMISSION, Vernon C.
