<br /> <br />Material for mulching shall consist of hay or straw, oats, wheat, barley, or rye, and shall be <br />free of noxious weed seeds. At least 50% of the mulch by weight shall be uniform in length. <br />Mulch will be applied to seeded areas. All newly seeded areas shall receive a uniform layer <br />of mulch applied at the rate of 2 tons per acre, crimped with a crimper or other approved <br />methods. <br />Seeding will take place once final grading and replacement of topsoil have been completed <br />for each phase. Timing of seeding will be consistent with standard horticultural practice for <br />dryland applications -generally between late September and the middle of April to assure <br />adequate moisture for germination. Additional plantings will be installed once the ponds <br />have filled with water and will be watered by hand for the first two growing seasons.
