The run-off curve numbers are
developed based upon vegetation and soil types. Vegetation data is presented in
Exhibit 5 and shown on Map 3. Soils data is presented in Exhibit 7 and shown on
Map 4. Drainage plans are shown on Maps 21 1/4 3/4 & 4/4.
There are three soil types that will be disturbed at the loadout. They are Work, Progresso
and Potts loam. Work and Progresso are soil type C and Potts is a soil type B. The C soil
type will be used for the run-off calculations.
The vegetation study for the loadout is located in Volume III Tab 5. Cover data for the
• vegetation types is presented in Table I in the vegetation study.
Pastures
Cover
Vegetative Cover % 73.5
Litter % 23.0
Ground Cover% 96.5
Table 2-2c-Runoff curve numbers for other agricultural lands
Cover Type -Pasture, grassland or range
Hydrologic Condition Good
Soil Type -Loam C
Curve Number 74
Irrigated Hayfields
Cover
Vegetative Cover % 91.6
Litter % 8.3
Ground Cover % 99.9
Table 2-2c-Runoff curve numbers for other agricultural lands
Cover Type -Meadow -continuous grass, generally mowed for hay
.~+cdcnln,5~ic ~nndit~~o ~3and
Soil Type -Loam C
Curve Number 71
PR-07 Exh-8 - 162 - 2/03
