AREA E3 (1.82 ACRES):
Location: East of the south end of Area E2.
Condition: This appears to be an area where soil was stripped several
years ago in preparation for mining. The area was never mined. Vegetation
cover is moderate as a result of invasion. Contains one linear soil stockpile
near the east end of the area (volume = 780 yd ).
Future Reclamation: Would eventually become part of the sand extraction
plan for this area.
Current Reclamation: Push the soil stockpile westward to replace the
soil that was removed.
Disturbance Reduction Program: Included. See Current Reclamation.
AREA E9 (17.33 ACRES):
Location: A large excavation area in the center of this parcel of land
north of the irrigation ditch.
Condition: Contains one excavation that is approximately 90 feet deep
with near vertical side walls, except for the entrance road. Other
excavations are larger in area but much less in depth. This area represents
the rtwthod of extraction described in the 1985 amendment and is consistent
with the plan. The total volume of topsoil and overburden stockpiled in this
area is 33,950 yd .
Future Reclamation: Is part of the overall pit excavation.
Current Reclamation: Reduce vertical slopes to not steeper than 2.5:1
through cut and fill. Replace topsoil and revegetate.
Disturbance Reduction Program: Not included.
AREA ES (1.58 ACRES):
Location: Southwest of Area E9 and immediately north of the irrigation
ditch.
Condition: A small excavatio3 containing all original topsoil and
overburden (total volume = 2,075 yd ).
Future Reclamation: Would become part of overall reclamation plan for
pit area.
Current Reclamation: GYade steep slopes, replace overburden and topsoil,
and revegetate.
Disturbance Reduction Program: Included. Plan is basically like
current reclamation.
AREA E6 (9.3 ACRES):
Location: Irtmediately south of Area E9, east of E5, and north of the
irrigation ditch.
Condition: 3No excavations. Stripped of soil and overburden (total
volume = 2,800 yd ).
Future Reclamation: Would become part of overall reclamation plan for
pit area.
Current Reclamation: Replace soil stockpiled on the south side of this
area and revegetate.
Disturbance Reduction Program: Included. Flan is like current
reclamation.
Page 12 Bonding Information M-73-007/M-77-213 January 7, 1992
