' EXHIBIT C
MINING PLAN

1. Project Startup Date and Date of Closure
' CCCM intends to commence operations as soon as the Limited Impact
Operation permit is issued. The length of operations is
estimated to be ten or more years depending on economics.
2. Topsoil Salvage
' Under this plan, CCCM is not proposing any activities that will
impact undisturbed lands. All work being permitted under this
plan gat both the Bates-Hunter mine and the Golden Gilpin mill is
in areas that have been extensively disturbed by past operations.
As a result, no topsoil will be disturbed and there will be no
need t;o stockpile and stabilize the topsoil.
' In an effort to improve the visual impact of both the Bates-
Hunter and Golden Gilpin sites, CCCM intends to plant a number of
trees at both sites. Additionally, at the Golden Gilpin mill
' CCCM :intends to stabilize and reclaim the south bank of North
Clear Creek by seeding the bank slope with an MLRD approved grass
mixture. CCCM also intends to haul away much of the old
equipment located on the Golden Gilpin property which will also
improve the visual impact of the Golden Gilpin mill site.
3. Overburden and Waste Rock Estimates
1 The Bates-Hunter mine is an underground vein mine. No overburden
waste rock is expected to be generated by these proposed
' operations. Historically, the mineralized portion of the Bates-
Hunter vein is sufficiently wide so that once the economic
portion of the vein is mined and sent to the mill, little barren
' rock will be mined and disposed of. However, a limited amount of
waste rock will be generated in the course of mining the vein.
CCCM intends to backfill portions of the Bates-Hunter underground
workings with some of this waste rock. In the future, CCCM may
' also deposit waste rock on CCCM property located north of the
mine shaft (Figure 2).
' 4. Deposit Dimensions
The Bates-Hunter vein has been explored to a known depth of 750
' feet and is expected to extend at least another 300 feet in
depth. The ultimate depth of the proposed Bates-Hunter workings
will depend on project economics. The proposed workings are
expected to be approximately 1,000 feet in length.
' S. Major Project Components
' The rtiajor components of CCCM~s project being permitted under this
plan include the Bates-Hunter mine and the Golden Gilpin mill
' C 1
