<br />INTRODUCTION <br />~ks and Gesso, LLC <br />Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc., is applying for a Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology (CDMG) Regular "112" Perrnit to mine sand and gravel <br />from the proposed Green/Croissant Property Sand and Gravel Mine site, located <br />in unincorporated Weld County. The property is situated on approximately 220 <br />acres, encompassing the northwest '/, and parts of the northeast '/. of Section <br />30, Township 5 North, Range 67 West of the 6'h PM. The site is approximately 7 <br />miles east of Loveland and is two and one-half miles east of Interstate 25. It is <br />located in Weld County, on the Weld - Larimer County border, just south of the <br />Big Thompson River and immediately southeast of the intersection of Weld <br />County Roads 13 and 54. <br />The property currently has several different land uses, including agriculture (hay), <br />oil and gas production, grazing, and residential dwellings. Structures on the site <br />include oil and gas wells and pipelines, a couple of sheds, and one private <br />residence. Currently, the western part of the property, its surface, sand and <br />gravel, mineral rights, and water rights are owned by Loveland Ready Mix, Inc. <br />The eastern third of the property and all of it's related rights are owned by Viola <br />Croissant. An agreement between the Applicant and Mrs. Croissant allows the <br />Applicant to enter the Croissant property for the purposes of extracting sand and <br />gravel, and to process materials on-site. <br />The proposed permit boundary and total affected area covers approximately 220 <br />acres. The sand and gravel produced from the site will be trucked to market by <br />Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc. and independent haulers, as well as utilized <br />on-site for concrete production and delivered as a finished product. The life of <br />the operation is expected to be 15 year to 20 years. <br />Land uses in the vicinity of the site include limited residences, agricultural lands, <br />and mining operations to the east of the proposed permit area. <br />GreeNCroissant Property Sand aM Gravel Mine.C~MG.112 Permit 20023 <br />Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc. ~ March 2001 <br />
