In response, I have
reviewed the permit files to determine the specifics of their format
requirements.
Last summer they requested an amendment of the report due dates.
Originally they were required to submit semi-annual subsidence reports on
May 1 and November 1 of each year. They have been given a variance in
`survey frequency, because of extreme sno all conditions. They were
directed to complete surveys at least-LAe°times between June 1 and
November 1 each year. In reflection of that seasonal timiny, their
report submission dates were amended to August 1 and January 1 of each
year. The January 1 date was selected by CWI specifically to correspond
with the required submission of their annua] hydrology report.
Jim Roberts also inquired as to whether we were expecting both
semi-annual reports to be identical in format. Because the August 1
report may be proceeded by only one or two survey observations, I do not
believe it realistic to expect an entire reduction and comparison with
their application's projected subsidence parameters. Therefore, 1
recommend that we require that the August 1 semi-annual subsidence report
contain the survey data, reduced to reflect horizontal and vertical
movement of monuments, the appropriately updated cross-sections and maps,
and a brief description of any pertinent hydrology and ground surface
condition observations. The January 1 semi-annual subsidence report
should also contain a detailed description Comparing the year's
observations with the subsidence hydrology and mechanical responses
projected within the approved application documents.
0
cc: Ed Bischoff
jG
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver.
