Representative Sampling <br />Samples and measurements taken as required herein shall be representative <br />of the volume and nature of the monitored discharge. <br />2. Reporting <br />Monitoring results obtained during [he previous 3 months shall be <br />summarized for each calendar quarter and reported on applicable <br />discharge monitoring report forms (EPA Form 3320-1), postmarked no <br />later than the 28th day of the month following the completed quarter. <br />For example, for the ts[ quarter (January, February and March) the <br />report would be due on or before April 28. Definitions <br />a. A "composite" samole, for monitoring requirements, is defined as a <br />minimum of four (4) grab samples collected at equally spaced two (2) <br />hour intervals and proportioned according to glow. <br />b. A "grab" sample, for monitoring requirements, is defined as a single <br />"dig and take" sample collected a[ a representative point in the <br />discharge stream. <br />c. An "instantaneous" measurement, for monitoring requirements, is de~ined <br />as a single reading, obszrvation, or measurement using existing <br />monitoring facilities. <br />a.
