2.04.7(1)(a)(iii) <br />,. (iii) Y.nown uses of water in aquifiers. <br />D]o use is made of groundwater per se. There are no wells tapping <br />the water table in use by the Bear f4ine. There are three wells <br />' on the surface of the Bear Mine. The location of each well i;; <br />shown on the Existing Land Use P?ap, 2.04.3(2)(a)-l. The East <br />' and West Wells have been in existance for many years. The <br />Center Well was installed by ARCO. The Center Well is used as <br />a source of water by the Bear Mine only in emergencies when th.e <br />spring water is not obtainable. Springs are used to furnish <br />the Piine with all of its water requirements. The springs are <br />' discussed in Section 2.04.7(2). <br />' (iv) Quality of subsurface water. <br />Refer to Tables 2.04.7(1)(a)(iv)-1 and 2 for analysis of the <br />groundwater. <br />M Table 2.04.7(1)(a)(iv)-3 is an analysis of the East ?•lell and the <br />' center Well taken is June 1981. <br />(2) Surface [later Information. <br />1 <br />(a) General information. <br />The name of the watershed is the North For'.c of the Gunnison River. <br />' Refer to Drawing 2.04.7(2)(a)-1 for the location of the River,. <br />the ephemeral streams in Sylvester Gulch and the draw draining <br />' the west one-half of Section 16, the location of the springs, <br />the location of stock ponds, and the surface drainage system <br />for the affected area and adjacent areas.
