The State is to be responsible for the necessary permits. <br />2. The base of the present pit should be cleaned out first, with any <br />new topsoil being reolaced over as much of the pi' floor as is <br />practical ~~~ith the Intention that the pit floor will eventually be <br />covered with topsoil and re-seeded by the State. <br />3• The north edge of the pit shall be maintained back far enough from <br />the edge of the hill so as not to make a permanent scar along the <br />edge. <br />4. Existing access roads through the pit area shall be maintained. <br />5. Ylliile hauling is going on, either a cattle guard should be installed <br />or a flagman to keep the cattle off the high~~fay. Also, the road should <br />be blocked [o unauthorized traffic. <br />6. The State is responsible for maintaining and leaving the pit in a safe . <br />condition and they or the contractor assume liability for the operation. <br />Wayne M.
