1. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />t <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Soil Mapping Unit 8~ and SF <br />Perma stony loam, 0 to 3 (8A), and 25 to 65 percent slopes. <br />Soils of this series are deep, well drained, medium textured soils. <br />They are developing in alluvial material of basalt on nearly level high <br />mesas or terraces and their steep side slopes. <br />The very dark brown stony loam surface is 3 to 8 inches thick. The sub- <br />soil is a stony loam about 6 inches thick. The underlying material is <br />basalt stones and cobble. <br />Surface runoff is medium and erosion hazard is moderate. <br />Estimated pH: 6.6 - 7.3. <br />Depth of usable topsoil: 0 - 8 inches. <br />Depth to seasonal high watertable: ~ 6.0 ft. <br />Flood hazard: None. <br />Capability unit: VIe, non-irrigated (8A). <br />~rrre, aon-irrigated (8F). <br />Range site: Stony loam. <br />
