' WILDLIFE STATEMENT . <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for <br />use by the Mined Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of <br />' a mining permit for Alark Mryin Pit lolorado Division of <br />Highways, c/o Robert Lucas, Box 2107 Grand Junction, Colorado <br />81501 <br />' The Colorado Division of Wildlife does hereby find, to the best of <br />our knowledge, that the impact of the proposed mining operation on <br />' wildlife will be <br />XXX minor <br />moderate <br />' major <br />t Mine Location: <br />T1N, R84W the W; of Sect. 8 <br />Wildlife Species List: (may be attached) <br />'. Sharp-skinned Hawk Black-billed Magpie White-tailed Jackrabbit <br />American Kestrel Sage Thrasher Coyote <br />' Say's Phoebe Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Badger <br />Western Flycatcher Loggerhead Shrike Bobcat <br />Endan$~i~~n~p~~~ies Impacted: Mule Deer <br />' NONE <br />Assessment of Impact on Wildlife: (may be attached) <br />' The affected area is non-irrigated rangeland, semi-arid with <br />sagebrush as the predominant species. The operation is on the⢠<br />tap of a mesa and no wetlands or drainages are affected. The pit <br />' has been mined in the past and past & future mining will present <br />no adverse impacts on wildlife. <br />' Reclamation Recommendations: (may be attached) <br />1. Maintain a headwall between pit and State Hwy. #131 for <br />' visual effects. <br />2. Replace top soil at the end of mining operation. <br />3. Use a re-seeding mixture approved by Tocal SCS office. <br />4.
