Deft. of ~o~u~"fli Rflsoiirces
We.make reference to your letter of November 20, 1985 regarding
Colorado Sand and Gravel's application for an amended mining
permit. In this letter you make reference to two issues: one,
relating to replacement of evaporative losses; and secondly, to
the use of water for gravel washing and related operations. In
regard to both, there presently is na judScal or legislative
directive which requires either. We have, however, made
provisions for both if this does become necessary.
This has been an ongoing issue for a number of years and should,
somehow, be resolved. Mr. Siegriet and myself would be happy to
meet with you regarding this matter at your convenience, but do
not feel that this is an issue that should effect the permitting
process for an existing operation.
Sincerely,
Ro ert~. ~e n
cc: Robert L.
