Concrete Construction, Inc. <br />Mr. Martin Azcarraga <br />2323 River Road <br />Grand Junction, Colorado 8]505 <br />Re: Monument View Gravel Pit, File # M-2000-032 <br />Engineering Evaluation For Adjacent Structures <br />Deaz Mr. Azcarraga: <br />The purpose of this letter is to provide an engineering evaluation that examines the <br />potential for damage to permanent man-made structures located within 200 feet of the <br />affected land for the Monument View Gravel Pit, located at 680 23 Road, Grand Junction <br />Colorado. This evaluation is required in accordance with C. R. S. 34-32.5-115 (4) e. <br />Site Inspection <br />RG Consulting Engineers, Inc., (RGCE) performed a site inspection of the above project <br />site on June I, 2000, to identify the permanent man-made structures that are located <br />within 200 feet of the affected land for Monument View Gravel Pit. RGCE also <br />reviewed the underground utility drawings from the City of Grand Junction, Ute Water, <br />Public Service Company, Grand Valley Rural Power, US West, and TCI Cablevision. <br />The man-made structures within 200 feet of the site are listed in Attachment A, included <br />with this letter. Based on discussions with Mr. Steve Shuey of the State of Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology, permanent man-made structures include any above or <br />below ground man made structure, including items such as existing buildings or <br />structures, manholes, underground utilities, fences, telephone/power poles, metal <br />telephone/power cabinets, roads, drainage/irrigation ditches, etc. <br />The 37.6 acre site is relatively flat, with a gentle slope to the southeast at approximately a <br />0.5% grade. The site is bounded to the north by G Road, 23 Road to the West, Vacant <br />land to the East, and to the south by Western Slope Iron and Supply and a trailer pazk. <br />The site has a 20' drainage and utility easement that runs the length of the south and east <br />boundary, and a 14' multipurpose easement to the north.
