III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
June 14, 1979
Mr. Roy Parachinl
Dorn REady Mix Corporation
Post Office Box 630
Fort Morgan, Colorado 80701
Dear Mr. Parachinl:
Enclosed are four of the five copies of your May 23, 1979 responses
to our adequacy review. 1 need some information before your permit
application can be presented at the June 27-28, 1979 board meeting.
First, the boundary of the area that is to be permitted needs to be
identified on the maps as "permit boundary.'' Second, the current
topsoil stockpile needs to be shown on the map. Third, a statement
needs to be submitted clarifying the topsoil situation. The original
permit states to Exhibit D, "mining will be done by removal of top-
soil with a carryall and stock piles in an area on north side of
property, to be used later for building lake shores and backfill to
get slopes right." The letter of May 23, 1973.stEates in IV9~E),
"there will have to be no retopsoiling, because topsoil will not
be removed in reseeding areas.' The questlens that arise from this
and need to be answered are as fiilows:
i) Is the material stockpiled on the north bank topsoil?
2) if so, to what depth will topsoil be placed on the
shoreline and will there be enough topsoil, so that a
suitable plant growth medium will cover the shoreline?
3) A narrative should be provided addressing Lila revege-
' tatlon of the~shoreltne? M111 the graded area dorm
r -- to the water'be revegetated? If so, what plan species
will be used? If not, why not? ~ '
Please respond to these points as soon as pWi:ible in order to resolve
remaining problems, before the June meeting. I enclosed your May 23, iJ
1979, responses so as to save 1cis+etlme. You can add the necessary in-
formation to theseemaps. If you have any quesOlons, please call me.
Sincerely yours,
Fred R. Banta
Reclamation Specialist
FRB/pm
