• <br />• <br /> <br />Along the river, the Overland Conveyor, the Rail Spur, the Unit <br />Train Loadout, and the lower portions of the Roadside South Portal <br />(RSS) will be evaluated against 1999 Greasewood Reference Area. <br />Areas above approximately 470' elevation at the RSS and the <br />Roadside Refuse Disposal Area will be evaluated against the <br />Shadscale reference area. Due to the minor amount of upland <br />sloping area at the North Decline, the entire area will be evaluated <br />against the 1999 Greasewood reference area. The 2 West Portals, <br />the South Fan and other small remote sites may be considered one <br />logical sampling area and evaluated against the Shadscale area. <br />~~~, Alt oug specs ~c disturbance areas are discussed, w en reclama~ <br />occurs, disturbance areas may be combined into logical sampling <br />units. <br />(vii) Fertilization generally will not be used on reclaimed areas. <br />Application of fertilizers containing nitrogen can significantly <br />increase annual weed problems. This can result in poor stand <br />establishment and development of seeded perennial species. <br />Topsoil, subsoil and plant growth medium resources to be used in <br />reclamation have high pH levels which will result in poor <br />1d-26 <br />(Rev. 1/00) <br />
