III IIIIIIIIIIIII III 1TI0•(Revised) <br />9s9 <br />for limited impact and select regular mine applications <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for <br />use by Mined Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of a <br />mining permit for: <br />Name/Type and Location of Mine (Legal) <br />Wildlife Species List: Pronghorn, coyote, badger, jackrabbit, <br />swift fox, kangaroo rat, meadowlark, prairie falcon, ferruginous <br />hawk, red-tail hawk. <br />AUG 241994 <br />Endangered/Critical Species/Impacted: None xnown. <br />;;ivis,nn ,~~ ia~nerdlS d (;EOIp0,V <br />Critical Habitats/Vegetative Communities Impacted: Site is <br />characterized as blue grams/buffalo grass shortgrass prairie with <br />very sandy soils throug which runs the Arickaree River, a dry wash, <br />with, in some instances, steeply eroded banks. There are no known <br />critical habitats or vegetative communities. <br />Assessment of Impact: Impacts to the wildlife resource should be <br />temporary and minimal if proper reclamation is achieved. <br />Nine Reclamation Recomendatioas (include key species/habitats for <br />which restoration is designed): To the extent practical, topsoil <br />should be stockpiled and seeded with a temporary seed mix if left <br />in place for longer than one growing season. The site should be <br />contoured to approximate pre-mining drainage and slopes to the <br />extent practical and reseeded with a warm season mix of grasses and <br />forbs native to the area to include those species currently found <br />at the site. The site should be fenced and livestock excluded <br />until such time as proper vegetative cover is achieved. <br />Prepared By: Warren Cummings.
