EXHIBIT E
(Supplemental Reclamation Plan)
In addition to the matter set forth in the original Exhibit E, the
applicant shall reclaim the subject gravel pit utilizing the additional
requirements set forth herein.
At this time, there is approximately 1 acre of the proposed gravel pit
that contains any topsoil. This topsoil is very shallow, approximately 5
inches or less, and mixed in with the gravel that is located in the pit.
This topsoil does not maintain any native grass and only sparse annual
vegetation and weeds now exists thereon. After the gravel pit has been
mined, if it is possible to save any of the topsoil, this topsoil will be
stockpiled and then returned to the area where it was removed. The
operator shall plant sorghum at the rate of 10 pounds per acre. In order
to insure that the sorghum will grow, the applicant will further apply
approximately 40 pounds per acre of nitrogen on this area. This area will
not exceed 1 acre in the total gravel pit.
The area to be reclaimed will be located in the southeast corner of the
gravel pit. The cost will be minimal giving the limited area of
reclamation.
