~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ~ <br />The fallowing innor-ation pertaining to wildlife is prnvic:ed for use by <br />the Lond Reclamation Board in their consideration of n mining per,~it <br />for San Miguel County, Colorado ~~ _ ~~~ <br />Klondike Gravel Pit ~~ <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife does hereby find, to the bast ^f our <br />knowledge, that the impact of the proposed mining operation on wildlife <br />will he <br />X minor <br />moderate <br />major <br />F1ina Location: E~ Sec. 8 and W~ Sec. 9, T. 43 N., R. 16 W. <br />Wildlife Species List: (may be attached) Mule deer, occasional elk, rabbits, <br />small mammals and birds, coyote, bobcat, occasional mountain lion, reptiles (rattle- <br />snakes, bull snakes, lizards, and horny toad). <br />Endangared Species Impacted: Northern bald eagle (winter) <br />Assessment of Impact on Wildlife: This gravel pit is in mule deer critical winter <br />range. Some elk also winter in area. Disturbance may affect deer. <br />Nine Reclamation Recommendations: (m=_y be attached) Activity limited to ' <br />late spring and summer, April-November 1. Also, any trees removed should be piled <br />for small game habitat. Reclaim natural vegetative species in area.
