4. If it is proposed to cut or impact the railroad grade at other locations such as for other <br />access road crossings, or low impact construction the specific location of proposed <br />development should be re-reviewed by the Committee. <br />5. The Division of Minerals and Geology should be made aware of these <br />recommendations as part of their permitting process. <br />6. There are no recommendations for the remaining gravel pit area in the river flood <br />plane. <br />It should be noted that generally the railroad grade between Howardsville and Eureka is <br />some of the best preserved remaining grade in the county owing to the fact it was never <br />converted to an auto road. Due to this fact the Gommittee considers the section of <br />railroad grade on the French Placer to be a high-value historic site.
