(See attached copy of draft contract.) <br />Resulaz Meetine 6120/00 <br />5. k~SO GRnNDE CEnrliNr LONG'X'ER13 LEASE <br />O'Haza explained this prapased lease to Rio Crrande Cement. They would take water <br />eittxer through wells or through the St. Charles River; Rack}' Mountain. S feel world then <br />replace the water taken out by releasing water from their dam. Lz tu;n, we would pay <br />back the water via the Minnequa Canal head gate on the Arkansas River. The delivery <br />point for Board water provided to the cement company would be the Minnequa Ditch <br />head gate. It would then be the responsibility of Rio Grande Cement to work cut the <br />trade with Rocky Mountain Steel. It is a 25-year lease fen 250 acre feet of consumable <br />water. Hamel explained that the lease has changed slightly, but lagal counsel will review <br />it before we sign it. <br />A~eCarthy made a motion to authorize the Executive Director to enter into flus long term <br />a?reement. Gardner seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. <br />• <br />
