iii iiiiiiiiiiiii iii
E' ~ZYrytAf~~ Si _:~IC?S
43~ S. Casca.~ie
Colorado Springs, C~ 130903
to-a-?~
brined Land Reclamation Board
1313 Sherman St,
Denver CO 80203
Dear sirs:
This is in regard to Castle Concrete Co.'s application for con-
tinued quarrying activities. I recently hiked down Queen's
canyon and was appalled at the destruction that has been caused
by Castles' mining. The Castle Conclt~e people have a record in
this town of broken promises concerning reclamation of the mined'
land and disposal of acid-forming materials. It is my belief
that the Queen's Canyon problem will not just go away, since it
has Steen getting worse for years. I hope the board will turn
down Castle's permits on the basis of their past record.
Very truly yours_~
_ . 1d`
Artie E. Romero
77-Z/~
