Memo
RE: Wagner/Kauffman Pit #3; Permif No. M-99-069; Technical Adequacy Response #2
DATE: September 24, 1999
FROM: Christina Kamnikar
TO :Carl B. Mount
Having reviewed the additional information provided by Pam Acre and Tuttle-
Applegate, and after modifying the previous slope stability analyses on SBSLOPE and
SB3 using this information, I have found that the two faces of concern remain stable
under the new conditions posited. The mining face remains stable to within 10 feet of the
required setback distance, and the liner material and area adjacent to the Boyd Lake
Outlet Ditch appears to be stable under full and empty conditions in the ditch.
Unfortunately, due to software constraints, I can't print out these analyses, but they are
saved on the X drive under W-Kauffl and W-Kauff2, should you wish to view them in
SB3.
/CL~K
l.~o`~~
