M ~~
EXHIBIT S
PERMANENT MAN MADE STRUCTURES WITHIN 200 FEET OF THE AFFECTED
AREA
There is one sheep shed, and well that are on the property. Sheep shed is
approximately 75 to 100 feet away from the mining area. The mining will not affect
these structures at all.
The other structures that are within two hundred feet are a wire fence between Gene
Ensz and a wire fence that runs along the canal. There are also power lines that
border the property lines. The Rio Grande lateral canal runs along the south edge
of the property. The fences are 100 feet away from the top of the pit along with the
power poles. The canal is 124 feet from the edge of the pit. The mining will not get
close enough to affect it. Please see damage agreements with property owner, Xcel
Energy and Rio Grande Canal Water Users Association.
These structures lie on the outside of the 100-foot buffer zone of the affected area
set by the county. There is current mining taking place on the south side of the
canal by another permit holder right up to the property line with no adverse affects to
these structures.
In our operation there will be no blasting or drilling taking place to extract the sand
and gravel, therefore, the structures will not be affected.
No seepages or percolation losses are expected mining depth is limited to 15' to
prevent ground water exposure. We are in discussions with Rio Grande Canal
Water Users Association to draft possible recharge agreements for later use.
