• Professional Experience - Continued <br />1976-78 Consultant, Colorado Squawfish Recovery Team. Advise team <br />on research required to fulfill Recovery Plan, including <br />areas to be studied, methods to be employed and costs of <br />proposed research. <br />1976-78 Consultant, Woundfin Recovery Team: Help team finalize a <br />Recovery-Plan, advise team an research needs and methods, <br />advise team of potential hazards to woundfin, and assist <br />team in woundfin monitoring efforts. <br />1976 Principal Investigator for BIO/WEST on assessing aquatic <br />impacts of the proposed Alcan (Northwest) Gas Pipeline in <br />Alaska. Discussed potential problems with project engineers <br />and administrators, suggested solutions, testified at Federal <br />Power Commission hearings, reviewed Environmental Impact <br />Statement on project and advised project lawyers on problems <br />associated with competing routes. <br />1976 Principal Investigator for BIO/WEST on a compilation of all <br />fish streams crossed by the proposed Al can (Northwest) Gas <br />Pipeline in Alaska. Supervised field crew that conducted <br />stream surveys on over 30 streams between Delta Junction, <br />• Alaska, and the Yukon Border; collected and analyzed known <br />information on fish streams crossed by the proposed route <br />and wrote final report. <br />1976 Principal Investigator for BIO/WEST on assessing the status <br />of the bonytail chub and the razorback sucker for potential <br />endangered species listing for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife <br />Service. Primarily involved collecting published and unpub- <br />lished information for a report documenting the status of <br />the two species; the report included an Environmental Impact <br />Assessment. <br />1977 Principal Investigator for BIO/WEST on analyzing the impact <br />of the Allen-Warner Valley Energy System on the native fishes <br />of the Virgin River, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. <br />1977 Principal Investigator for BIO/WEST on a review and analysis <br />of the published and unpublished information concerning the <br />habitat requirements of rare fishes of the upper Colorado <br />River Basin. <br />1977 Principal Investigator for BIO/WEST on determining the status <br />and critical habitat of the Virgin River chub for potential <br />endangered species listing by the Fish and Wildlife Service. <br />The study included an Environmental Impact Assessment. <br />~` <br />
