A trench shall be dug to bedrock (estimated depth 15 to lE feet), <br />with a minimum width of one Coot and a length of 4S feet. <br />2. Midway between the ends of the trench, the bedrock shall 6e <br />excavated a minimum o: three feast to allow the vertical pipe <br />bottom to be set three feet below the top of the bedrock. Thus, <br />the submersible pump motor can be installed so.that the pump <br />intake is at the. horizontal drain elevation. ~~ <br />3. nuring construction o! the trench or after it`~as been dug <br />(contractor's option), the trench shall be pum~ied out at a rate <br />of 150 gpW for 24 hours to determine the infloq rate. If the ; <br />trench cannot produco 150 gpm, it shall be pumped at it's maxi- <br />mum rate. The dis- <br />charge rato and pumping level during pumping shall beymeasured <br />•every 15 minutes for the first 2 hours, and every k hour Por <br />the romaining time. <br />4. If the pumping rate is adequate, as determined by the owner, <br />the trench shall be completed as an infiltration gallery in <br />the following :,ceps. <br />5.
