Bids are being solicited for the installation of Landlok erosion
matting and minor dozer/backhoe work at the Blue Flame mine site
in Hay Gulch south of Hesperus. Two <2) rolls of Landlok TRM
1060 turf reinforcement matrix material (Z00 ydz} will be
installed from the former location of the lower staging area
downslope to the previous sediment pond location. The matting
and staples for installation will be provided by the State. You
will be submitting a bid for only the installation. As you may
already know, this slope presently is at an approximate 1.5H:1V
slope. Installation procedures are outlined on the next page.
In addition to the erosion mat installation, minor rilling and
potential gullet' formations will be recontoured with a 67 fhp
track machine with backhoe attachment. Besides utilizing this
machine for slope preparation for the mat installation, 8 hours
(including mobilization) will be guaranteed for .the machine.

pre-bid meeting which will be held for the upcoming Coal Gulch
